“Tree Stand Safety” was an off-space exhibition project by the artists Ole Goldt, Sara Petrickova, Lasse Müller and Jakob Offermann. It formed around the idea of observation, viewing the world from a very isolated point, through a medial lense or memory. In the state of late-Pandemic uneasiness, where everything seemed to move in the distance while the individual was at a standstill, it seemed fitting to reflect on the position of the artist and their gaze in this specific circumstance. The show was opened during a period in spring when the nationwide lockdown was lifted, the summer being a phase of things returning to normal while the foreboding melancholy in knowing things would get worse in fall again. In addition the Leerstand as a venue echoed the economic collapse of inner city businesses as a result of said Pandemic.
